Where an accent chair earns its place
An accent chair fills the gap a sofa set leaves: beside a window for reading, opposite the sofa to close a conversation circle, in a bedroom corner, or at the head of a long lounge. It is also the easiest place to bring in a bolder colour or pattern without committing a whole sofa to it.
Styles
- Wingback: a high back with side wings, for reading and for tall people.
- Slipper chair: armless and low, fits small rooms and bedrooms.
- Tub or club chair: rounded and deep, relaxed for lounges.
- Wooden arm chair: exposed carved or plain Sheesham arms with a padded seat and back.
What to check
Sit in it for a few minutes. Seat height around 17 to 18 inches suits most adults. The frame should be solid wood, joined and glued, so the chair does not loosen when people lean back. Fabric and colour
An accent chair is the easiest place to try a bolder fabric: a deep green velvet, a mustard weave or a subtle pattern can lift a room of neutral sofas. For a chair that gets daily use, choose a tightly woven fabric or suede-style microfibre that resists marks, and keep it out of strong afternoon sun to slow fading.

Can I choose the fabric for an accent chair?
Yes. Accent chairs are upholstered to order, so you can choose the fabric and colour from our swatches at the Golra Road showroom or supply your own. A bolder colour or pattern works well on a chair even if your sofa is plain, and it is easy to re-cover later.
Are the chair frames solid wood?
Yes. Our accent chairs are built on solid wood frames, joined and glued so they stay tight when people lean back, with exposed legs and arms in Sheesham or Akhrot. Solid Sheesham parts are covered by our 50-year Sheesham wood guarantee; fabric and foam are not.
Can you match the polish to my existing furniture?
Yes. Send us a clear daylight photo of your furniture, or bring a drawer or small piece to our Golra Road showroom, and we will mix the polish to match as closely as possible. Wood colour varies naturally, so we show you a sample before finishing.
Do you deliver single chairs?
Yes. We deliver single chairs and pairs across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, wrapped to protect the fabric on the way. If you are buying other furniture from us, we can send them together. We confirm the delivery date and any charge when we confirm your order.
