Choosing center tables
Center table, centre table or coffee table?
They are the same piece. In Pakistan most people say center table (or centre table); coffee table is the international name. Side tables are the smaller tables that sit at the ends of a sofa, and a "center table set" usually means one center table with two side tables in the same design.
What size center table suits your room?

For a 7 seater drawing room with a long sofa, a rectangular table of around 4 ft often works; for a small lounge, a round table of about 3 ft keeps the walkway clear. These are guides, and we build to your room.
Top: wood, glass or marble
A solid wood top is warm, repairable and can be re-polished; it is the most practical choice for a family lounge. Glass shows off a carved base and makes a small room feel lighter, but shows fingerprints and needs care with hot cups. Marble is heavy and handsome but can stain from tea and lemon. If you want a glass or marble top on one of our wooden bases, ask us; we will tell you honestly what we can source and fit.

Woods
Sheesham is hard and handsome, ideal for a table that takes daily use; solid Sheesham parts carry the 50-year Sheesham wood guarantee. Akhrot (walnut) gives a rich brown grain. Diyar gives a lighter tone. Teak is available on request.
Storage and safety
A lower shelf or a pair of shallow drawers keeps remotes, magazines and coasters off the top. In homes with small children, choose rounded corners and a solid wood top over glass, and avoid tables light enough to tip when a child pulls up on them.
Care
Use coasters and trays under hot or wet cups, wipe spills straight away, dust with a dry cloth and keep the table out of strong direct sun.
